Inventory
On every pack out, our team will do a detailed inventory in the home or business. Each item is accounted for, along with what room and location it came from. When we pack boxes, we also capture what went into the box and where the contents came from. For example - Let's say we pack a medium box of glass cups and flatware. The inventory on the box and the written inventory would state the exact number of cups along with the number of knives, spoons and forks. We would note what drawer and shelf the items were removed from along with the room designation. Similar information is recorded for each piece of furniture that is removed. The inventory is done on a laptop for ease of use and easy data transfer.
A digital inventory is done at the same time as the typed inventory to help document pre-existing conditions and to document the restoration cleaning that must be done. The digital inventory is very helpful in working with adjusters and improving the communication process with the insured.
